What goes down at work, Posted 17-02-2010, 06:01 PM #1
Just a couple of random pics I found I took from work about 2 years ago haha. Some of you's may be interested others not.

Any random questions just ask out.

We do also have open days at work once a year if any of you are keen on checking out some of the areas on planes punters dont see.

Or I may be able to get people in on other days when its not as busy as open day.

Anyways heres some pix

Most of those pics are towing to and from the hangar. We go a lot deeper into aircraft systems than what I have pics of. Think I have some more, just need to find them among my million pics

What do I do there?? I fix the planes lol.

Servicing and maintaining 737, 747, 767, 777 and a320 fleets.

The paintstripped 777 is just a repaint we did because Boeing f'd that section up on all our 777's from factory with the wrong primer I think it was. So it has to be fully stripped, sealant removed and resealed, then repainted in 4 days.

At the moment I'm out of the Hangar and I'm part of Terminal Services now, or whats called Line Maintenance.

I work at the international terminal arriving aircraft and fuelling them, then departing them and just carrying out minor checks suck as tyre pressures, eng oils, cabin defects (yes that includes blocked toilets :S) etc.

a nappy or a big turd would do it

what we do is get a big hose with 2 suction cups on the end, one end goes in the bowl of a functioning toilet, the other on the blocked one. Then by flushing the good toilet we try to vacuum the blockage out :S

Has worked before, but not as effective as pulling it out by hand
